Handbag printing is a processing technique for creating portable containers from materials such as paper and plastic. Also known as tote bag printing, it is widely used in exhibitions, shopping malls, and promotional materials. Functionally, it can be divided into advertising, shopping, and gift bags. The main materials include coated paper, white cardboard, kraft paper, and non-woven fabric. Standard printing sizes are divided into three standards: third-size, fourth-size, and half-size (e.g., standard fourth-size 280×200×60mm, large half-size 450×210×100mm). Material selection is based on packaging weight classification (157g/200g coated paper is used for ordinary packaging, and cardboard over 300g is suitable for heavy-duty packaging).

Handbag printing includes design, printing, and post-processing. Paper materials are mostly printed using offset printing, while plastic materials use screen printing. After printing, it needs to undergo lamination (glossy/matte lamination) or varnishing for protection, and rivets are added to reinforce the drawstring holes. Surface treatment processes include hot stamping (gold/silver), UV coating, embossing, and debossing. 200-350g single-sided coated paper is typically used to ensure load-bearing capacity. This industry involves risks such as market competition, technology patents, and policy regulation. Several government agencies completed procurement projects in 2022-2023.
